You will always see this kind of item in June. It’s not what corporations want. It is what actual people want. Not all people who support or want Pride stuff are LGBTQ+. A lot of people just like having diversity. Just because some people can’t get over the fact that not everybody is straight (and judging from your tone, white) doesn’t mean they should be dictating what content we get.

Disabilities are far easier to keep track of population wide based on records without needing to check in with the people directly (though still not perfect due to undiagnosed cases) versus relying on people to self-report being queer, if they even realise they are.
