This will only work if they are open about how the suits (aka EA) have destroyed the series. Like start the movie really sweet, then have a great additions and uplifting music. Then the pinnacle is an open world where the sims are free, modded if they choose, etc. Then the hook; the suits want to greedily make even more money and steal everything from the sims, leaving them sad and miserable. It all ends with no real hope for help to come, but you just see some signs out in the distance that read, “Life By You” and “Paralives”…..

no the movie needs to start by telling us mods are disabled so we need to witness the process. They re-enable them and restart the film and then we see townies in the most ugliest clothes mixed with cc.

I know DeeSims won’t relate to the film without the mods featured. Mods and their enhancing (breaking the game) need to be showcased in their full glory.

My idea of a movie based on The Sims would be quite a complicated one. Is it going to include well known Sims characters from the franchise? What’s the storyline? Will it include aliens? What makes it The Sims?

The Sims consists of two experiences. One being the built-in-game mechanics and the other being The Sims community. The mods and content that us the players have brought into the Simsphere.

For me a movie on The Sims would have to incorporate these two worlds but how would they showcase that? The player + Sim relationship? They would have to break the fourth wall and include a lot of humourous aspects that simmers would understand.
