Ignoring how long I dealt with TS3's gluttonous glitchiness on top of it, I've been waiting ten years to get a properly functional SINGLEPLAYER Sims installment or AT LEAST something that might be slightly more than an everincreasingly overpriced DLC delivery platform that somehow failed to do justice to expansion concepts they've already made THREE TIMES PREVIOUSLY, a game whose definition of a World goes beyond "premade selection of pictures of towns that you can click lots on" but no, I should've known better.

I REALLY should've known better…

The whole "paid creator kits" bull on top of that is just infuriating. It sounded like an SDK for modders at first, which at least had me curious, but realizing it's just more Kits, but this time made by other Simmers?! Hell with that, there are hundreds, THOUSANDS of places you can find free mods online and paysites beyond that, there's no incentive for me to let EA get a cut of some Paysimmer's take while nickel-and-diming me yet again for crap they didn't even make!

Screw this, s c r e w t h i s . I'm out. I'm done. The franchise I loved half a lifetime ago is dead, it's never coming back and it took this to finally make it sink in for me. They just extinguished the last of my hope, however slim it was. Time for me to unsub from those last few Simmers I'm still following and bail. There's nothing left here for me so there's no reason to stay. Honestly, this is long overdue anyway.

I've gotta hand it to EA. I didn't think I still had enough investment left in The Sims to feel actual rage towards goings on in the franchise anymore, but clearly I underestimated them. Bravo, EA. Bravo, bravissimo, molto bene, farsi fottere.

I guess I'll just say this in closing: SimsVIP, regardless of my opinion on the games, you guys've always been pretty cool. It's a shame you're kinda stuck as the messengers and commentators for this hot garbage, but I wish you all only the best. Whether from or beyond The Sims.

On that note, I'm off to see if I can figure out how to mod Valheim… that might help me deal with whatever lingering resentment this protracted rant didn't vent off, or at least tide me over until Paralives' is done, assuming THAT doesn't get cancelled too.
