Selling paintings to collector or art gallery?

    Do they give the same amount of simoleons? Is there an advantage of one over the other?

    Sell to the Art Gallery whenever possible. They will pay more than value for the paintings. Collectors always pay value. What I mean by value is the price shown when you hover the mouse over the painting.

    When your painting is finished click on it and you should see the option

    you get the option after a few levels in either a paint career or a few skill levels in painting....not sure which

    a few skill levels in painting. I think you unlock sell it to an art gallery first though- then sell to a collector.
    It's like self-publishing written books and selling the rights to a publisher.
    First you unlock self-publish, then sell the rights.

    I just love how more interesting skill building is now.
