The latest Sims 3 Patch 1.50 brings new game options, interactions & features. Below is a compiled list of these new features, and if there are any I have missed, please let me know in the comments!
Game Intro
The newest patch includes an update to the intro screen when booting the game. The Maxis Logo has made its way back into the series.

Create a Sim Ghosts
The patch has added two brand new ghosts in create a sim. Death by Ranting and Death by Blunt Force Trauma are now available in CAS when creating a ghost with Supernatural installed.

Dumpster Diving
Sims Teen through Elder can now “Dumpster Dive” in any commercial dumpster. Sims will find an array of items while dumpster diving, and they can all be found in your Family Inventory via buy Mode.

Set Bed/Door Ownership/Access
You can now set bed ownership and door access to any Sim in your household. Select the bed/door for more options.

New Online Profile Gifts
When logged into your Sims 3 account in game, you can now send new gift packages to other players: Basic Care, Comfort Care and Luxury Care.

New Decor Air Conditioning Units
Two brand new decor air condition units have been added to the game. These are a the exact same design as those that came with Supernatural, except they are a smaller version.
