With The Sims 4 approaching its 3-year release anniversary, we were curious to see what players in the community thought about The Sims 4. We reached out to players on our Twitter and Facebook pages and asked them what they wanted to see added to The Sims 4 and what they thought was lacking from the game. Below are their responses.
The freedom of TS3, the fun factor of TS2 & the gloss of TS4.

More tools and objects for builders: https://t.co/kJGXsCfYHl
— BryonyRae (@Bryony_Rae) August 10, 2017
L&U shaped stairs, multi-level deck/foundations, hobbies (sports etc), hobbies that make money (knitting etc), farming, vacation worlds
— Michelle Pawluk (@Mrs_Pawluk) August 10, 2017
more active careers, more for elders in general, demolish lot tool from the map view (if vacant), ability to edit common spaces,
— Michelle Pawluk (@Mrs_Pawluk) August 10, 2017
and in an ideal world, more for babies. Even if I could move them from one bassinet to another or to a playpen or swing in another room.
— Michelle Pawluk (@Mrs_Pawluk) August 10, 2017
Ok, I'll try not to be petty with my answer. My top priority would be group interactions for children that don't rely on objects…
— Benji Br (@BenjiPlaysSims) August 10, 2017
Like kids playing tag, hide and seek, rock paper scissors etc., as well as more make believe possibilities like those from TS3 Generations
— Benji Br (@BenjiPlaysSims) August 10, 2017
I know it doesn't sound like much, but children gameplay, though with great potential, still feels lacking to me. I mean…
— Benji Br (@BenjiPlaysSims) August 10, 2017
Children usually just want to play and they will play with anything at hand, I don't like that we need specific objects for that
— Benji Br (@BenjiPlaysSims) August 10, 2017
Spiral staircases, terrain tools, swimming in oceans/lakes etc. (beaches, a tropical world, boats.) Bigger worlds with a bunch of lots. –
— Sesime (@SesimeTweets) August 10, 2017
More cooking recipes, pets, seasons, cars, more stuff for children, toddlers. Bands. The stalker ice cream truck from Sims 3. Food vans.
— Sesime (@SesimeTweets) August 10, 2017
Prom for teens, a whole bunch of traits, a world adventures type of pack. off the grid pack, Grocery stores, tattoo & piercing parlors.
— Sesime (@SesimeTweets) August 10, 2017
A regular sized telescope and microscope! Not all Sims are mad scientists!
— Alistair Stuart (@Alistu_Sims) August 10, 2017
Larger world's without preset lots ( I want to place lots where I want them) less background & more usable space.
— noodles2 (@noodlesandme2) August 11, 2017
Don't forget about circular and octagonal roofs!
— Kaleidos (@Kaleidos2503) August 10, 2017
functional bunkbeds, ladders, floor elevation, more playable jobs, more cas presets if that possible, more vegan options/recipes
— flower jellies (@snowpearI) August 10, 2017
Sleepovers and a daycare I can run from home, prom and graduation for my teens, acne that's not a skin detail
— Yani™ (@SimphoriaYT) August 10, 2017
We need burglars and the curfew back, what's the point of having a cop career when the only crime you deal with is when you're on the clock
— Yani™ (@SimphoriaYT) August 10, 2017
Toddlers, they might change it in the stuff pack, but I just wanna know why can't they swim? Why weren't we given floaties for them? My
— Yani™ (@SimphoriaYT) August 10, 2017
Permanent plantsims, again there's a mod but I shouldn't have to have a mod
— Yani™ (@SimphoriaYT) August 10, 2017
Even if it's a rabbit hole my pregnant sims should have appointments, one where they could learn the gender of the baby(babies) and learn
— Yani™ (@SimphoriaYT) August 10, 2017
CAS as I've said, we need better skintones, more color swatches and the ACTUAL color the swatch represents, more clothing styles
— Yani™ (@SimphoriaYT) August 10, 2017
Why do we not have fire fighters? Why is being a fire fighter not a career?
— Yani™ (@SimphoriaYT) August 10, 2017
Realistic billing, how do my household go from 5-7k one week to almost or over 10k? This happens even with auto lights on
— Yani™ (@SimphoriaYT) August 10, 2017
The fact that you owning your own business doesn't count as a career. So I'm "unemployed" but I own a chain of restaurants and/or stores?
— Yani™ (@SimphoriaYT) August 10, 2017
Yesss! So frustrating when it's supposed to be a all black outfit & they're two different shades♀️makes it look like it doesn't match.
— _Pooh_ (@Poohxcii) August 10, 2017
Realistic interactions like when a sim gets mad at another sim they should stay mad not smile and laugh after just fighting
— Daahlingnikki (@daahlingnikki) August 10, 2017
More vacation worlds, more blank worlds, customizable worlds
— blouse and skirt (@xbiscaynebaex) August 10, 2017
Deeper gameplay for Sims to give them more individuality, less interactive objects that get boring after a few goes.
— Knazzer ️ (@knazzer) August 10, 2017
If we aren't getting a color wheel give us more options..
— TheModelSim (@TheModelSim) August 10, 2017
getting robbed, trampolines, longer hair, bigger neighborhoods, going to school with sims, more careers(actor, interior design, architect)
— taz (@joshdunalienson) August 11, 2017
Bi-folding doors
— Sofia Miá (@_SofiaMia) August 10, 2017
Funerals, inheritance (write will). Playdates for toddlers and children. More (deeper) gameplay for children, teens, elders.
— Malin HK (@gullegumma) August 10, 2017
Sewing, a chemistry/attraction system, and weather
— Snarky Sims (@SnarkySims) August 10, 2017
Could do with some more job options like teacher, electrician etc
— Ella ♡ (@TheSimmerElla) August 11, 2017
A world that actually feels open.
— Sean Ellsworth (@LASeaN8) August 10, 2017
Sewing. Theatres, singing career.Swimming in oceans. Scuba diving. Bunk beds. Bigger worlds with more lots. Building apartaments.
— IreSim (@Ire_Sim) August 10, 2017
I always wanted a zoo for the sims.
— Hussain Ali (@Husssain_12363) August 11, 2017
Some more magic stuff, like witches in the sims 2 but better. With that also the possibility to build actual towers. CIRCULAR ROOMS
— Rose (@ZwordBreaker) August 11, 2017
Meaningful family gameplay, that is not just revolved around parenting. Like generations
— Oscar M (@ossiemacca) August 11, 2017
The ability to ask sign or see if two sims are into each other! I hate wasting time only to find out they don't like each other that way!
— Bambi Salisbury (@BambiS_78) August 11, 2017
More craftables…. knitting, sewing, pottery
— SunSimmer (@sunsimmer) August 11, 2017

New Whim System.
— ㋡ (@CeeJayChalla) August 10, 2017
More small double tile windows, more multiple tile suburban/traditional front doors, more suburban/traditional couches and other furniture
— Tee Baxter (@tee_baxter1) August 10, 2017
Toddlers actually getting sick
— BeautifullyConquered (@Shattered1992) August 11, 2017
I would love if swimming was a skill of toddlers to learn and depending on their experience they could fear water or love it.
— EriKa~ (@RikaGizo) August 10, 2017
Gameplay and social interactions. We need a lot more. Also more interactive careers than just three.
— Becca (@PerfectlyUnwell) August 10, 2017
I just want seasons already pic.twitter.com/ilFhGJKE51
— Cooper322 (@KC89901) August 11, 2017
. I also would love a true vacation expansion with beaches and snowy type worlds and more neighborhoods
— gurlgamer05 (@drv687) August 10, 2017
I've been saying this for a while. Would love both things back in the game.
— Erin Seng (@Ldbg289) August 10, 2017
