After weeks of speculation, EA has finally confirmed on The Sims social media channels that the surprise game update scheduled for tomorrow, February 25th, will bring burglars to The Sims 4.

As the teaser shows, burglars have been a staple of the franchise ever since its first release 25 years ago – there’s one on the cover of the original The Sims. Naturally, they have been requested by fans ever since the release of The Sims 4, the first title not to feature burglars since launch.
This confirms that the “shady character” teased recently will likely be unique to The Sims 4 Businesses & Hobbies Expansion Pack, which will be released next week, on March 6th.
The free update will be available to The Sims 4 players across all platforms and will also bring a few bug fixes. It’s unclear if burglars will be the only addition to the game, or how similar or different it will be from NPCs in the past.
