The Sims 4: New Game Patch (June 17th, 2025)

EA has just released a small patch for The Sims 4, bringing consoles up to date with the latest game update and also delivering a few bug fixes.

Just as importantly, The Sims Direct Communication revealed on Twitter that the weather indoors bug will finally be fixed on the next update (expected for July 1st).

If you have auto updates enabled in Origin’s “Application Settings”, the game will auto-update once you open Origin. If you have auto-updates disabled, you will need to manually update by clicking the game in your library.

To ensure your game is up to date, check the game version found in Documents > EA > The Sims 4 > GameVersion.txt. Your game should now read: PC: 1.115.253.1020 / Mac: 1.115.253.1220 / Console: 2.13

  • [EA Forums] Sim Portraits are now properly updated with career outfit when Sims join a career.

  • [EA Forums] Small business employees no longer disappear after loading the lot from the Manage Worlds or Create a Sim screens.

Seasons

  • [EA Forums] The New Year’s Resolution menu now correctly appears when making a resolution.
  • [EA Forums] Scout’s Badge Progress UI no longer appears without text.
