Less than a week after an emergency patch for The Sims 4, EA had to release yet another game update. This time, it fixes the bugs concerning pregnancy in the game. You can read the patch notes below.
If you have auto updates enabled in Origin’s “Application Settings”, the game will auto-update once you open Origin. If you have auto-updates disabled, you will need to manually update by clicking the game in your library.
To ensure your game is up to date, check the game version found in Documents > EA > The Sims 4 > GameVersion.txt. Your game should now read: PC/Mac: 1.116.232 / Console: 2.16.

Today’s update will fix the recent issues seen with Sim Pregnancy introduced on July 1, 2025 in version 1.116.202.1030 for PC, 1.116.223.1230 for Mac, and 2.14 on Consoles.
The issues were related to performance optimizations and have now been reverted to resolve the issues reported. Any Sim pregnancy related mods should return to their pre-update functionality, though you should still check with the specific mod author for updates.
