Lawn Water Slide
The Water Slide is an interactive object for Sims of all ages, and two variations are found in buy mode for §675 – §2470 Simoleons. The water slide includes the following interactions: Slide, Slide With, Trick Slide, Trick Slide With, Watch Sliders, and Add Soap.
Sims who use the water slide will increase their Fitness (Adult) and Motor (Child) Skills only when performing Tricks. Children and Adults with lower level skills will likely perform poorly until their Fitness and Motor skills are increased. Be prepared for slips and falls! Sims using the water slide will receive one of the following 4-hour moodlets:
• Foamy Slide (Playful +1 – Requires Soap)
• Backyard Water Park (Happy +1)
• Too Slippery (Embarrassed +1)
• Trick Slide Master (Confident +1)
• Tricktastrophe (Embarased +2)
• Great Tricks (Energized +1)
Sims who prefer to stand on the sidelines can also enjoy watching Sims use the water slide and perform tricks, and will receive one of the following 4-hour moodlets:
• Bro Slide (Energized +1 – Requires Bro Trait)
• Looks Like Fun (Happy +1)
• What A Showoff! (Happy +1)
• Bro Slide (Happy +1)
• Slide FAIL! (Playful +1)
• That Had to Hurt (Uncomfortable +1)
Sims can also add mischief to water slides by using the “Add Soap” interaction. This action increases the Mischief Skill in Adults, and adds a layer of foamy soap on Sims who slide. Sims will also receive the 4-hour “Foamy Slide” (Playful +1) moodlet as a result.
Bird Feeders are a new interactive object that lures birds to the immediate area to feed. For just §5 Simoleons, Sims can add bird seed to the feeder and enjoy a day of bird watching.
❗ There is a 1 in 7 chance that Sims will be attacked by birds when filling the feeder. This results in a Sim receiving the 4-hour “Birds!” (Angry +1) moodlet.
❗ Watching birds feed at the bird feeder will result in a Sim receiving the 4-hour “Bird Watching” (Happy +1) moodlet.
Summer Drink Tray
Backyard Stuff includes a drink tray complete with three new drinks. Place the tray on any surface to enjoy a glass of Lemonade (§56), Citrus Swig (§95), or Iced Tea (§144). Move drinks off the tray to mix and match. Each pitcher yields 12 drinks.
Backyard Stuff includes an umbrella table that is large enough to seat up to Six Sims. This is the first of its kind as most other circular tables typically only seat up to four Sims.
The Sims 4 Backyard Stuff adds a spinning wind catcher to the game which enhances the look of your backyard, and also serves as lighting during the night.
❗ Sims who “View” the wind catcher will receive one of two 4-hour moodlets: “Around and Around” (Playful +1) or “Mesmerized by Spinny Things” (Dazed +1).
Backyard Stuff adds a variety of wind chimes made from different materials. Wind chimes can be placed indoors and outdoors both on the ceiling and walls. Sims can also adjust the pitch of the wind chimes (Low, Medium, High), and enjoy the added ambiance.
❗ Sims who “View” the wind chimes will receive one of the following 2-hour moodlets:
• Soothing Chimes (Happy +1)
• Annoying Chimes (Angry +1 – Requires Hot-Headed Trait)
• Sounds of the Wind” (Happy +2 – Requires Music Lover Trait)
