SimGuruKarsky Explains the Lunar Cycle

Thread Link

Hello All!
I wanted to post one last response to follow up on this thread. Again, thank you all so much for contributing your questions, thoughts and comments about The Sims 3 Supernatural. We are so excited to have received so much wonderful feedback and can’t wait to share more information with you in the coming weeks leading up to this expansion pack’s release.
I thought I’d get to a few burning questions that have come up frequently in this thread. If you don’t see your question answered or if you have new questions, keep an eye out for upcoming news, developer blogs and content we’ll be sharing with you all very shortly. We’ll also be hosting another live broadcast soon and take your questions live.
Tell us more about the Lunar Cycle. Is it customizable?
In The Sims 3 Supernatural we wanted to bring in a new element of gameplay that would affect both ordinary Sims and supernatural Sims. Playing into the theme of magic, mystery and mischief, we thought that a luminous Lunar Cycle could set the stage for some strange happenings that go bump in the night. Of course, none of The Sims games would be complete without the option of customization, so the team created a new tab specific to the Lunar Cycle to allow for more player customization. In The Sims 3 Supernatural you can set your Lunar Cycle to rotate through the different phases of the moon, which can last anywhere from two days to ten days. If you wish, you can even choose to have the moon stay static. For instance, if you wish to have a full moon every night, you can do so by selecting the static option. The same works for any of the other moon phases.
Can regular Sims adopt Supernatural children?
No, Sims will not be able to adopt supernatural children but players will be able to create supernatural children directly from CAS.
Thanks again for all of your questions and make sure to tune in to the upcoming live broadcast coming soon where our team will be showing another demo of the game and answering more of your questions.

I think it’s cool theres a feature to control it, however I’ll probably never use it. I’m a physical science nut so i’ll have to keep it in it’s cycle or I’ll feel like I’m betraying physics :(

Makes me more reassured that Seasons will be epic. If they did all that programming for a lunar cycle, you know they also have the programming for seasonal sun angles in the game. I’m very excited.

I really can’t wait for Seasons. It’s so missed I can’t stand it.

Sims 4 better ship with Seasons in the base. I mean it’s time.

Remember spring coming in the Sims 2 and having to clean out the yard and get ready for summer? Do your planting in the spring and actually have a real gardening experience? So awesome. I miss the Sims 2 so badly :( Mainly for Seasons! (and OFB, best EP’s ever)

I completely agree. Seasons was one of the best EPs for TS2.
