In Game Profile Showing “NoXRoadsName” *Solution*
For those of you who have logged into your Sims 3 Profile within your game and have noticed your username being registered as “NoXRoadsName“, here is the solution.
First off, you will need to download the free version of CCleaner and install it into your computer, if you don’t have it already (which you should have anyway!). Â After the installation is complete, make sure to make a backup save of your Sims 3 Game File. This program does not normally delete anything in those files, but it’s always nice to back up just in case!
Once you have finished backing up your files, Run CCleaner. You will see the following interface once it has loaded.
Everything that needs to be cleared out on a regular basis on your computer, is already check marked by default (temp files, cookies, browser history etc). Click “Run Cleaner” and it will remove all the unnecessary “garbage” that your computer holds on to.
Once CCleaner has completed it’s duties, log back into your game and your username will appear when logging in. Yep, that’s it! Thanks to H0RTENSIS for the info!

Prima Games – Sims 3 Showtime’s Life on the Stage
As a longtime Sims fan, I was excited for the opportunity to write the guide for the latest expansion pack, The Sims 3 Showtime. But I quickly discovered that being a fan of The Sims wasn’t enough; I needed to be an obsessive expert. In addition to mastering the new careers, I had to dive into the minutia that makes The Sims one of the most popular series of all-time. I soon found myself obsessing over the smallest of details. How much does a banana cost at the Market Basket grocery store?

Reminder: Site Maintenance and Short Down Time (3/3/12)
On Saturday March 3rd from 10am CST to 11am CST (-ish), SimsVIP will be down for a quick site update and maintenance. During this time, I will be clearing out some files from the server, as well as uploading our SimsVIP Showtime Game Guide!
The Showtime Game Guide will go Live at about 12 noon (CST) on Saturday, being 90% complete. I will be completing a few sections (which require a bit more time on my end) from Saturday through Tuesday’s release of Showtime. Have no fear though, the guide is already packed with info! 🙂
