UPDATE: SimGuruGrant added to his previous tweets with the following:
We've released over 20 packs for The Sims 4 so far. Expansions, Game Packs, and Stuff Packs, and we still plan to keep going. We plan to keep making content for years.

If you were fearing (or hoping) that The Sims 5 was just around the corner, SimGuruGrant let players know that The Sims team is busy creating more content for The Sims 4. He took to Twitter to state that he’s working with the team right now “for years out.”
The Sims 4 has been so successful. The community is SO strong. We are thinking years out. We aren't going anywhere. https://t.co/BJVm5hou7u

Guys. We aren't done. I'm literally working with the team RIGHT NOW for YEARS out. Stop. Saying. We're. Done. We. Aren't. ❤️
I mean, just think of the stuff we haven't made that we know you want! https://t.co/h0WTdeibSf

Years out? 🤔 does this mean we can expect new sims 4 content from y’all for a few more years? 🤗

Well, we're only four expansions in… https://t.co/rIviPtHxGu

With The Sims 4 being a “Live Service” that allows Maxis to continue delivering content for players in perpetuity, this would essentially mean they are extending the life span of the series. Would you be content with “years” of content for the Sims 4? Or would you rather move on to the next iteration of The Sims? Let us know your thoughts in the comments!
