SimGuruGrant took to Twitter to let players know that The Sims team plans to correct/fix a filter issue that results in the “Popular Now” uploads displaying by default in the community tab. This feature left many players with less exposure and downloads in the gallery.
There is frustration with the updated default search in the Gallery. We'll revert it to Newest in a future update so that smaller creators will be more easily discovered. However, due to our schedule, this update won’t be released for a bit. We appreciate your patience!

We didn't want to just leave the Gallery issue quiet as we know it's really frustrating folks. I know it sucks to say "it'll be a bit," but I'd rather do that then leave you in the dark in this case. The timing for the fix and our release schedule sadly isn't ideal.

Ultimately sometimes our good intentions don't quite pan out in reality. That's game development. So, as long as we make it right, hopefully you'll bear with us! We meant well, it didn't work, we'll fix it.

It's less a priority window per se and more about the timing of releases, when we can get QA to check it, all of that. I remember in July I had to tell someone we couldn't do something for December b/c it "wasn't far enough out." We just have a wild lead time on stuff. https://t.co/tvPfDxbXhw

Players who have seen a decrease in downloads and engagement in the gallery since the last patch will have to wait until The Sims team is able to fix this.
