SimGurus took to Twitter yesterday to answer some questions about terrain tools, the new style influencer career, and the next game patch. Below is a round up of their tweets.
No killing Sims with terrain.

@Deligracy I don't appreciate the shade you are throwing my way at https://t.co/PBY9BAMJcr. =p Just to be clear the terrain in this video is a bug. The terrain is not supposed to be that dark. You also will not be able to paint the sides of the terrain.

This is something we would like to investigate in the future. The one thing we did get was that each world will have a unique terrain texture to better match the environment.

I am glad everyone enjoyed the stream today. I can't wait to share more details on terrain manipulation. Please stay tune for our next stream to find out more!

For those who didn't tune into the live stream, today we shared that unfortunately there will no longer be an October patch. We needed a little extra time to really polish things up for everyone to enjoy. Sometimes things in Game Development need to shift just a little.

For those wondering, the content we showed off for TS4 today…ALL OF IT WILL BE FREE. You won't need to purchase anything to get that cool new career….
— 🎃 Kate The Pumpkin Queen 🎃 (@SimGuruKate) October 2, 2018
There will be no patch this month at all. The next patch we do have does have many bug fixes.
— 🎃 Kate The Pumpkin Queen 🎃 (@SimGuruKate) October 2, 2018
We cant reveal the date of the patch at this time.

Now what's that? https://t.co/YHw5x6xJ19
— 🎃 Kate The Pumpkin Queen 🎃 (@SimGuruKate) October 2, 2018
Y’all are so dark and a little scary.
No you can not use Terrain Manipulation to kill Sims, and no new deaths. https://t.co/ZtXXV3RL7I

So, @SimGuruKate just announced something unfortunate, but important, and done for the right reason. We needed to delay the planned October update for polish. Sorry guys. It'll be worth the wait.
— Grant Rodiek (@SimGuruGrant) October 2, 2018
It's frustrating for us, as well. But, we needed time to polish and ensure it is to the quality we expect. https://t.co/If8KgvE0Rs

We said we were teasing new content. That doesn't always mean packs. And again, for better or worse, we always have more in development than we can tell you about. https://t.co/BZOHxShdnL

We're asked *constantly* to add more, eh hem, "stupid" careers. This is also one of the #1 pieces of content created by modders. Careers are important! https://t.co/W2mIcSJKAB
— Grant Rodiek (@SimGuruGrant) October 2, 2018
It is a "work from home" career. This means you can disappear on some days, or do assignments at home or in the neighborhood other days. Your choice. https://t.co/m4OX5c8nos
— Grant Rodiek (@SimGuruGrant) October 2, 2018
This career is free to everyone who owns The Sims 4. https://t.co/b4RWzKT85L
— Grant Rodiek (@SimGuruGrant) October 2, 2018
Didn't claim it was innovative. But, the team did a really great job bringing back one of the most requested features and it will be given free to our players. I wish we did it sooner, but it's here now. Hope you enjoy it! https://t.co/lfc0UCM1L5
