The Sims 4: SuperData Reports DLC Revenue on PC has Declined

Superdata, a market intelligence company by Nielson, has released their December 2018 digital games report. The report reveals that even though The Sims 4 placed #8 as a top grossing title for the month, DLC revenue on PC declined by 10% year-over-year.

Sims 4 benefits from end-of-year promotions. A significant price cut led to a surge in new unit sales on both console and PC. However, DLC revenue on PC declined year-over-year by 10%.

As you can see League of Legends, Dungeon Fighter Online, and Fortnite: Battle Royal have been crowned the 3 top grossing titles worldwide for December. The Sims 4 did not rank on the top 10 list in AugustSeptember or October, but did place #7 in November.

On the other side of the world, SimTimes reports that The Sims 4 was ranked the #1 PC game in Europe for 2018, with FIFA 19 securing the top spot across all platforms.

EA is set to release their Third Quarter Fiscal Year 2019 results on February 5, 2019.
