EA and Maxis have listed a new position on their careers page as of three days ago, asking for qualified candidates to help “ship an upcoming expansion pack for The Sims 4.” The contract term is listed as a 4 month contract, but details of the position seek an ideal candidate that should have “experience delivering final quality audio”.
Audio is usually one of the final stages of work with the game, and with artists working on Simlish versions of their music, it is clear that an expansion is in the final stages. This along with SimGuruGrant’s recent tweet about the year not being over yet, might be some type of clue that an expansion is coming fairly soon.
Only watching from the sidelines, but it's been very thrilling to watch the team deliver the beach and witches finally. The team has been at it for almost 5 years now (if you don't include pre-launch work) and it takes a long time to get to everything. And 2019 isn't over…
