During today’s Inside Maxis stream, Gurus confirmed that the next game patch will include Group Cooking and Gardening abilities for Children. Check out the details and screenshots they provided during the stream.
Group Cooking – Group Cooking allows you to select up to 5 Sims to come together and Cook a Meal. It will allow Sims to gain relationships while also preparing better quality meals and more servings.
In addition to any Sim that’s on a player’s lot, children can also be chosen to cook with an adult. Children will gain mental skill as a part of doing this. Sims that cook together can gain a new Sentiment.
Children Gardening – Children will be able to water, weed, plant, and harvest crops. They cannot use the Vertical Garden from The Sims 4 Eco Lifestyle Expansion Pack though. The “Water” interaction is available to all children, but “Weed”, “Plant” and “Harvest” are unlocked by increasing their Mental Skill.
Children and Toddlers will also be able to “Talk to Plants”. Toddlers will talk or babble depending on their Communication Skill. Children will have a few new interactions with Plants like “How Does the Sun Taste”?
Teens, Young Adults, and Elder Sims with enough Gardening Skill can also “Teach About Plants” to children, which is a social that provides the child with increased Mental Skill.
