With the addition of new features to The Sims 4 (Pools, Ghosts, New Careers, Career changes, etc), the official Prima Guide for the game has become obsolete. It’s highly unlikely that they would ever re-print a new guide that includes these new Base Game changes, however, they may eventually update the eGuide.
 
Knowing that many players are wondering when and if Prima will decide to update the eGuide with this new information, I took to Twitter and asked Prima directly. Below is their response.

The official Sims 4 Prima Guide has been delayed until September 9th. We’ve asked Prima Games to share why the guide has been delayed, and we are still awaiting a response. If you have pre-ordered the eGuide or the Physical book, you will not be receiving it until that time.
 

Prima Games has just released a “Features Preview” for The Sims 4 Game Guide. Head over to this page and scroll through the features at the bottom of the page.
