The Sims games have always been ongoing projects, rather than standalone titles and the third core entry in the series has proved to be no exception. Showtime is the sixth expansion to The Sims 3, adding some glitz and glamour to the EA title. The latest add-on walks well-trodden ground, but it does so with the kind of style and personality that fans of the franchise have come to thrive on.
Showtime does little to alter the Sims 3 formula, but players do get a new neighbourhood to hang out in, all of the usual decorative baubles, and the additional careers of Singer, Magician, and Acrobat. The town of Starlight Shore is a worthy addition to the Sims universe, replete with its own beachfront, as well as multiple performance venues to ply your new trades around.
