Gadget List Reviews The Sims 3 Seasons

It’s here! It’s finally here, goodbye eternal sunshine and cloudless nights in The Sims 3. The Sims 3 Seasons has arrived bringing you all four seasons which include varying weather such as rain, hail, fog and wait for it… SNOW! Since The Sims 3 launched back in 2009, Sims have been travelling exotic locations, pursued new careers, mingled with the rich and famous and maybe even adopted a cat or five, all done with a backdrop of static weather.

NZ Gamer Reviews The Sims 3 Seasons

It’s amazing how the weather can (literally) put a dampener on the best laid plans, or transform a mediocre day into a truly memorable one. Up until this point, when we aren’t busy figuring out is solitaire clash legit – we Sims had it pretty sweet on the weather front: each and every morning we’d be guaranteed a pleasant, balmy day in which to live out our virtual lives.

Sure, we’ve had pets, pop stars, and even supernatural events to inject a little diversity, but we could always count on the weather to remain unchanged. Nek minnit, EA throws us a curve-ball by introducing something called ‘seasons’ to our idyllic little town. What is this cold, wet stuff falling from the sky? And why do I suddenly feel so shivery? Excuse me, while I go and change…

New “Monte Vista” Themed Venue & Simpoint Bundle

When the new store content is released next week, there will be more than just Monte Vista to look forward to. SimGuruSmitty has confirmed that there will also be “Monte Vista” themed Venue set, as well as a special Simpoint bundle (probably something like the Starfish Bundle for Sunlit Tides).

Monte Vista: New Screenshots and Info Bits

Via SimGuruTatertot’s (yum!) blog – Thanks Chris! 🙂

Hi there!

I thought I’d take some time while recuperating from my Thanksgiving over-eating, the craziness from Digital Monday, and the fun from the Monte Vista Producer’s Broadcast to talk about everything that’s been going on the past few days. It’s been wild!

On Tuesday the 27th, Lisa and Sarah did a great job showing everyone the world, and even sneaked a view of a pool mosaic they weren’t suppose to show! But it’s alright. You’ll hear more about that soon enough.

If you missed the broadcast, set aside some time and definitely check it out.

Also, if you’re JUST finding out right now that you missed the Digital Monday sales, the Store has left the majority of the items from the sales category up at a lower discount. Check it out here.

Additionally, make sure everyone remembers that Monte Vista will only be sold for real cash. For those of you wondering what a world simpoint bundle looks like – refer to Barnacle Bay’s simpoint bundle on the Store’s simpoint bundle page. Monte Vista will be set up almost exactly the same way. And yes, it’ll be $20 instead of the normal 2450 simpoints you see for worlds.

Another question I saw circulating around was whether people could gift Monte Vista. Unfortunately, at this time you can’t. I’m bummed about it as well, but hopefully we can make that change in the future (it would be awhile).

All right, more screenshots below: 🙂

The Sims 3 has had several expansion packs developed this year with Perry’s input, including the most recent expansions – Supernatural and Seasons. The partnership started with a Simlish version of Perry’s hit song, “Hot n Cold,” and expanded to include a Katy Perry Sim this year, along with The Sims 3 Showtime – Katy Perry Collector’s Edition and The Sims 3 Katy Perry’s Sweet Treats.

Platinum Simmers Review The Sims 3 Seasons

The Sims 3 Seasons was the most anticipated and demanded Expansion Pack of the Sims 3 franchise, but probably also where the community put the most pressure on The Sims Studio to better get it right! We want weather, it had to look gorgeous and would we have accepted if it did not work in every single (custom) world, with every type of house/object we have? I doubt it.

We got just that, weather that works in every world and is absolutely gorgeous. Below is winter in a few official worlds and custom ones. Besides just how awesome the weather looks, you can also interact with it. Snowball fights, iceskating (on lakes!) and getting soaked in a rainstorm are awesome in The Sims.
