Puzzle-solving maven Lyndsay Pearson has been working at Electronic Arts since 2002 and is currently a producer working on The Sims™ game franchise. When she’s not building video games, she’s enjoys spending time with her family.

We had the pleasure of spending time with Lyndsay recently when filming our new series, Smart Girls Build with The Sims 4. In our third episode, Lyndsay meets a fellow Smart Girl, Amisha, and shows her how to explore the world of The Sims 4. We had a few moments to sit down with Lyndsay and do what Smart Girls do best – ask Smart Questions!

Smart Girls: How was your experience meeting and working with our Smart Girl, Amisha?

Lyndsay Pearson: It was so much fun getting to meet with and play The Sims with Amisha. It’s refreshing to be reminded of how exciting the world can be and to see new opportunities through someone else’s eyes.

You’ve worked for EA for a very long time. How did you get your start working on The Sims?

LP: I started out in the Quality Assurance department at EA. I’d always been a fan of The Sims so it was pretty clear I should join that team.  I never left!

What has been your biggest accomplishment so far?

LP: It’s hard to pinpoint one thing I’m most proud of in my time on The Sims. I’m extremely proud of what the team has been doing with The Sims 4. For the first time in our history, we’ve been able to really create a game that evolves and changes month after month.  I can’t deny that I’ll always have a special place in my heart for The Sims Makin’ Magic.  I pitched the original idea and got to work on seeing it all the way through, that’s pretty cool.
