Time for SimsVIP’s final 10-Year Anniversary Giveaway Celebration! For this giveaway I’ve enlisted the help of our wonderful Staff Members who have created the rules, the lot, and will also be the judges to pick winners for this giveaway. For the final giveaway, we are giving readers a chance to win FOUR custom made SimsVIP Anniversary CowPlants! These sculptures were created by the talented CottoneeSocks, an amazing artist who creates miniature Sims sculptures. Check them out below!
For this final giveaway celebration, I’ve handed over everything from rules to judging, off to our staff members. I’ll let Benji take over from here. Thank you to everyone for celebrating an amazing 10 Years of SimsVIP, and good luck to all!
Ten years can go by very fast, sometimes quicker than you’ll notice. Maybe you got yourself a house and it wasn’t that great, but you thought you’d have time to work on it and now you realize a whole decade has gone by and the place is even worse. Or maybe there’s nothing wrong with the house, but you can see the effect of time and it’s just not that great. In ten years families change, new needs come up and adaptations have to be made. And this is the story we want to hear from you.
Inspired by the new Dream Home Decorator Game Pack and as part of the celebration for SimsVIP’s 10th anniversary, this giveaway combines two of the main aspects of The Sims: Creativity and storytelling. We are giving you a house and we want you to tell us – or, even better, show us – why it needs a renovation ten years after that sim has, or those sims have, moved into it.
The prize is the cutest of all prizes: A miniature SimsVIP 10th anniversary Cow Plant sculpture! It’s your favorite website and your favorite game combined in the most adorable (and exclusive!) way possible.
So there are a few steps to this giveaway:

Have an idea and get to work
Use your imagination and come up with a backstory. Who lives there? What are there needs? How have their lives changed in ten years? Then furnish the house in a way that shows why it needs a renovation. Like you’re giving us the before photo of a home makeover project.
Upload to the Gallery with the hashtag #SimsVIP10Years
You may even take a look at what other people have been sharing with that hashtag for some inspiration. But, hey, no copycats… or copycowplants!

Your comment must have:
- The link to your shared lot on the Gallery
- A little description that tells us why that house needs a renovation. Feel free to give us a brief backstory and tell us more about who lives there.
A very special committee of highly trained professionals (i.e. the SimsVIP staff) will judge the creations based on the following criteria:
- Creativity
- Adherence to the theme
So now that you know all the steps, here are: a few rules
- No custom content is allowed
- All packs are allowed
- No budget limitations
- You cannot expand or shrink the house
- The upload must contain the #SimsVIP10Years hashtag
- Your comment on the website must include a link to the gallery
Our judges do not kid around, if you ignore one of the rules you will be disqualified.
Please note that you will not in any way be judged on the amount of items you have on your lot or the variety of packs. This is about what you do with the items, how well you stick to the theme and how creative you can be within these guidelines.
