The Mobility Petition – We want you to know that we took note of the petition and we want to say Thank You to everyone who is always reaching out to The Sims and giving us pointers on what to do to make this game better. As you know, Gurus are super passionate about what we do and we all want The Sims to be the best game out there for many years to come. Mobility items are at the top of our minds.
As you know we have a roadmap and have been including different things like the addition of skin tones, the Asian facial features, updated black hairs, and we’re currently doing research on gender neutral language with pronouns. Representation remains the core pillar of The Sims and that is helping us guide our roadmap on what we want to deliver for free to the Base Game in the future. Mobility items are at the top of our minds. Thank You so much for creating this petition and for your continued feedback.
Sims Delivery Express (SDX) –Â The Sims team introduced a new content delivery system that will be added to The Sims 4 in a future update. Read more about this feature HERE.
Future “Refresh” for other Expansion or Game Packs – It is so exciting that you guys really enjoyed the Spa Day Refresh and the content that we added. The only things that we can say for now is that even though we love transparency, right now we’re going to just keep it a secret so you will have to wait and see if we have any other game refreshes in the future. There is not much we can say right now.
Paid Content released for the Base Game – We have heard feedback that there are hairs currently gates behind DLC or packs that offer more representation than those included with the base game, so we want to make sure that they are available for everybody. We love creating packs that offer cohesive and immersing theme experiences, but we are also committed to ensuring access to our full catalog of character elements that are for representation purposes. We want to make sure that everyone has the chance to represent themselves in the game. That is one of the reasons.
We are continuing to research and select a small number of hairstyles from previously released packs that we will be adding to the base game for simmers in the future. It is something that we are balancing out, but expect to have more of that soon.
