To celebrate the upcoming “Spooktacular” holiday, the Sims 3 team has updated the Simpoint bundle icons. Please note that they did not update any of the bonus content, so don’t go splurging on simpoints! Thanks to SimGuruTaterTot for the confirmation.

Let me go buy some simpoints just so I can look at the pretty pictures… derp…!
They’re just doing this as a fun way to decorate the website for Halloween, not to please your eyes… For god’s sake why the hell are people against EVERYTHING EA ever does… Jeeeeezzzzz!
Sure, they do look fun but are quite misleading. Some people over at the forums bought simpoints thinking they’ll get halloween goodies. I don’t want to sound like a downer (or rude) but I just don’t understand the point of some updates, some things they devote their time to when there are more important matters to attend to. Good to know that tomorrows store update is sure to please.
and I’m mad at the fact EA removed the seasonal freebies in order to release them from the vault during the appropriate season >.< when we get Seasons, snowflake day will occur several times during your playing time! not just once a human year

Simguru Tatertot 2 just blogged on this and their releasing a special halloween bundle tomorrow that has something to do with cas and their also releasing the Serentiy Retreat Venue as a seperate item from Sunlit Tides tomorrow.
Nothing was said about a new set or premium content.

Good news for those who like collecting the items/have already collected all the items and I am pleased to see the serenity retreat venue will be available to those who couldn’t get Sunlit Tides Gold.
