I’ll have a post up on this set later tonight, or tomorrow. :)

  2. MARTY says:

    Only clothing? :(

  3. B says:

This set could have been released with the Jazz age set. It’s nice, maybe I should be happy they thought of the male child this go around. Sigh.

  4. angrydragon114 says:

    this set is crap

  5. clairabellasims says:

looks like all the other shit they’ve released.

  6. Iron Seagull says:

A few of the outfits not in the preview pictures look nice, but that whole set definitely isn’t worth 1,350 points. That money is definitely better spent on 70′s, 80′s, and 90′s Stuff which is a slightly higher price but you get a lot more content.

    • Gin says:

that’s debatable really. Got the pack and everything anyone saw in the broadcast is it. Only a few outfits with a majority of them being stuck in the 80s for women and men may as well have had nothing at all. You’d basically be buying it for furniture which isn’t too bad but is absolutely not worth the money as far as the entire pack goes.

While some of the items look nice, I’m actually glad this set is a dud (for me). My simpoints need a break after all the good daily deals the past week or so.

  8. Max Q Baler says:

I love ragtime music, but I will pass on this set.
    Does nothing for my gameplay.

    Thanks for posting!

  9. Jessi S. says:

Love several of the women’s dresses, the girl’s outfit, and the boy’s hair, but I’m not sold on the men’s stuff. I might use the sheepskin jacket outfit, if it’s enabled from outerwear. Otherwise, meh.

  10. freakinbunny says:

I hate it… I really do hate it.

  11. Leni says:

I’m surprised that the Store Team would make a follow up to the Jazz Age clothes and furniture set. Was it a huge seller? Anyway, it’s all nicely designed stuff, but like the other Jazz Age set, looks like I’m gonna pick this one apart.

  12. jude1072 says:

Make alot of since.. The Superbowl is in New Orleans this year.

  13. krimsonnox says:

I love the names on the clothes now that i saw the rest of the set i really love all the dresses and hair!!1 But the cute New Orleans naming really has sold me on it, will have to throw it on my list and get it at somepoint.

  14. Amy says:

I’m starting to wonder now if the next Store world is going to be the New Orleans-themed world that I think was mentioned in one of the surveys that I took (the surveys that Sims VIP has screenshots of) because of the New Orleans/Louisiana connections to the names of the items in the new set.

  15. Sock Puppet says:

    Very pretty set.

  16. Cloroxclean says:

I wouldn’t want this set altogether. I enjoy the “Roaring 20′s” hair but that is it. I really think I will pass.

  17. Pamela** says:

I really like this set, but many of the items look like stuff I already have. I’ll probably get this eventually but right now don’t have the sim points to get it and I can’t justify purchasing sim points for it at the moment, there isn’t anything with this set that makes me go “I WANT that so bad for my game”.

    • welshierox says:

I completely agree! I’m not going to complain about this set because I like many of the things in it. But it’s not amazing. I’m not upset, but I’m not excited.

  18. niac1234 says:

I love the theme, but 1350 is way overpriced and I would have MUCH rather seen a New orleans world.

  19. Darrell says:

I think there is a real missed opportunity here. Some of the outfits, a couple of the dresses especially, would have looked smashing for elders. And yet once again, this age group is left out in the cold. I really just don’t get why EA doesn’t get it, that elders need attention, too.

  20. Anon. says:

I only got the little boy’s hair and I barely like the style of that anymore.

  21. pshype says:

Definitely not worth that amount of SP, It wouldn’t even be worth 100SP for the whole set. It’s a shit set and one most people won’t be getting. Thank god! Us simmers atleast have SOME common sense, maybe EA will step up their game?

  22. Nothing says:

It appears I’m one of the very few, but I do like the set. Still, I think all of the clothing and hair in the Store is ridiculously overpriced, and this is no exception.

Actually the build/buy items are overpriced, too, in light of the fact that you don’t actually get anything physical to show for all that downloading, nor a refund if you decide you don’t like a set.

Not to mention premium content that clearly was cut from a new world or expansion pack, only to be sold in the Store later–I’m not saying it should be free, but five bucks is a bit much when premium content rarely adds much to gameplay.

    • Nothing says:

By which I mean to say, five bucks per premium content item. And that somehow jacks up otherwise mediocre or downright paltry sets to twenty dollars or more. Used to be able to get Stuff Packs for that price. In fact, you still CAN get expansions and stuff packs for that price on sale or after the price is reduced…

  23. Lee says:

Nothing for elders, nothing different there. In the distant future Maybe (very very unlickily) we’ll get an expansion pack where you can move to an old age home, and live the rest of your sims days finding new romances with old war heros, Having your kids visit and your sim begging to come home, moaning more, going on day trips with other elders put on by there carers. Escaping and breaking curfew (teenage style) lol yea, there’s no paridise island expiation pack coming

It’s going to be The sims 3 OVER 70′s, 80′s, 90′s expansion pack
    For all our elders needs

    What ya think ?

  24. Berryique says:

It’s for the travel world section and it’s New Orleans inspired along with the Old Town: Starter Kit. Also some of the outfits remind me of some of the clothing in Disney The Princess & Frog movie.
