Here to kick off SimsVIP’s December Community Spotlight is community YouTuber Spring_Sims! In a brief introduction below, Stephen gives readers a chance to learn a bit more about his involvement within the community. Take it away Stephen!
Hey everyone! My name is Stephen aka “SpringSims” on YouTube. I just want to say thank you SimsVIP for asking me to be the December Community Spotlight to share to talk about me and my channel. To start off, I just want to let you all know that I’m 19 year old college sim addict living in a small town in Illinois. I currently live my parents who supported me all the way through life.
I started on YouTube in August 2011 making machinima videos and films about The Sims gaming franchise on my other channel SagaWorldProductions that I stopped that channel to focus more of school. After a few short months in 2014, I decided I wanted to start a gaming channel named “SpringSims” to make videos about the Sims. I started “SpringSims” in November of 2014. But it wasn’t until December 20th when I decided that I wanted to upload daily content on my channel 7 days a week, and I still continue to do to this day and I love it. I mainly focus on Create A Sim, Let’s Plays and Building videos for The Sims.
I was introduced to The Sims on my 4th birthday on February 22, just a few weeks when the first Sims was released back in the year 2000, yes I was really young but I was hooked from the start. I loved how The Sims was like real life since you could play with virtual characters and control their lives. When my parents gave me The Sims, I disappeared in my room for like weeks. The Sims is just that good of a game. After that moment, I asked my parents to buy my Sims games until I was able to afford them on my own. By far, I really enjoy The Sims 2 the most. I do plan on playing games but sims is my focus and my go to game.
I generally appreciate The Sims for it’s family aspect, just because you can develop relationship with your kids and be a real parent to them. As I got more and more into the game I got addicted to create a sim. Just the fact you can make people and play with genetics. I’m a type of person who likes to be creative and make things from starch and see if it turns out good or bad. When the Sims 3 came along, I quickly starting making sims, but when I saw the houses and structures in the game, I knew I wanted to start building and so I did. One year ago Sims 4 came out, I love how modern the building aspects of the game and OH the create a sim is the EPIC!!
When you visit my channel you’ll see a variety of sims content. I’ve been told that when people come to my channel I always put of smile on their faces. So when you come to my channel you’ll have a smile. Sorry for my life story, I just love the sims a lot. I could go on for ages.
