In recent news, Sims have been reporting some very strange occurrences. And no, I don’t mean alien abductions. (If it’s aliens you want to know about, then last week’s article is what you’re looking for). A bout of forgetfulness and a lack of self-control have spread throughout Oasis Springs, and so far there’s been no explanation.
“What am I doing?”
There have been more than a hundred complaints of Sims often getting confused at actions usually considered normal. Sitting in the wrong chair is one example, but I have to admit that the report by Josef Lowe, a 10-year-old, was rather strange. “I stood there watching a plant for five minutes. I dunno why,” he said. That is indeed a strange occurrence.
And that’s not the only strange thing! There have been a number of birthdays taking place at The Riverside Restaurant in the past few days alone: a new record has even been reached! A spokesman for the company gave us the following quote: “For the first time ever, we had a record number of birthday parties in a week; 50 birthday parties. 50! It’s absolutely insane!”
You just have to agree that 50 birthday parties in one week is a bit much. How on earth could so many children in the same neighborhood have birthdays within a few days of each other? I’m sure there’s an explanation for all of this craziness, but so far no one has a clue what it is.
Conspiracy Theories and Attempts at Explanations
As you can guess, strange events often have even stranger explanations given by conspiracy theorists. We’ve decided to take a look at what people think is happening here:
“It’s obvious really. I mean, if you’ve seen enough movies then you’ll know that this is a clear sign of non-existence. We’re obviously not real! Why else would we be feeling a lack of control?” – Mrs. Bridget Seabourne, a Pro-gamer from Rainy Day Entertainment.
“It’s a new virus going around, dubbed ‘forget-me-not’, where Sims start to forget things they are doing or why they’re doing it. It’s kind of like amnesia, but instead it’s a contagious virus that can be contracted by having direct contact to an infected person, as well as through the air by coughing and sneezing. We’re not yet sure how it came about, or whether it’s dangerous, but we’re working hard at Cut-N-Gut Health Centre to figure it all out.” – Dr. Kyle Mercia.
Have you found any of your actions this week rather strange and unexplainable? Let us know and it’ll be reported to the Cut-N-Gut Health Centre immediately. Those guys need more evidence in order to explain what’s going on, and with your help, they can figure it out. Unfortunately, that’s it for today. Until next time!
