Entering Cheats
Cheats are entered in the command console which can be brought up by pressing CTRL + SHIFT + C. When not in use, hide the cheat console pressing ESC. Most cheats require testingcheats true to be enabled prior to entering the actual cheat, so it is best to just type that in before attempting to use any cheats.
The game automatically sets back to testingcheats false when you travel. Any time you see a loading screen, you will have to enter testingcheats true once again before enabling any cheats.

Official Cheats
The table below contains the “officially” released cheats by Electronic Arts and The Sims Studio. That is not to say the rest aren’t “official”, because they are, it just means these are the cheats that have been extensively tested and are guaranteed to make for a great gaming experience when used.
Unofficial Cheats
The following cheats are ones that have been uncovered by TwistedMexican , and although were not “officially” confirmed to be “100% safe” for use, have now been OK’d by developers. Despite this confirmation, always remember to exercise caution when using these cheats by testing them on a random household first.
Getting a Sim ID
Some cheats require you to have the the Sim ID instead of a Sim’s First and Last name. Use the following cheat to acquire their ID. The ID is the long numerical string at the end.

In The Sims 4 Get To Work, retail owners have the ability to hire employees with the Maintenance, Sales, and Work Ethic skill-sets. These skills range between levels 1-5, and not every employee will top off in all three.
To ensure your employees are as top notch as they can get, you can create your own potential employees that show as “available for hire”. To create and hire employees who are at the top of their game, follow these steps:
There are 4 ways to make this cheat work:
• Create a new household in CAS and merge them with your current household
• Add Sims to your exiting household via The Sims 4 Gallery
• Open and play a new Household in your neighborhood
• Split your current household and move them to another lot in the same town
Once you have successfully added potential employees to your current world, select each of the Sims you would like to hire, and use the cheats below to increase their retail skill-set. Save the game and then resume hiring employees in your original saved game. Any Sims who have an increased skill-set will now be available for hire in the “Manage Employee” option on the register.
Restaurant Skills (The Sims 4 Dine Out)
In The Sims 4 Dine Out, restaurant owners have the ability to hire employees with the Charisma, Comedy, Cooking, Fitness, and Mixology skill-sets. These skills range between levels 1-10, and not every employee will top off from the start.
To ensure your employees are as top notch as they can get, you can create your own potential employees that show as “available for hire”. To create and hire employees who are at the top of their game, follow these steps:
For Player Created Employees:
- Place a household of your preferred workers onto a lot.
- Evict them from the lot.
- Use the restaurant owner to open the Hire Employees menu, spawning NPCs for it.
- Go to the manage households.
- Delete all NPC Sims you do not want.
This should leave just the Sims you want to hire as options. Once they are hired, feel free to move them back into your world.

Spawning Base Game Collectibles
Spawning objects is done with the objects.gsi_create_obj cheat, and the object ID. All objects ID’s begin with 0x (#’s/letters) and therefore, the final cheat will look like this: objects.gsi_create_obj 0xEXAMPLECODE
