Hobby News – Sims 3 Showtime Review

If you think Showtime is only the sixth expansion for The Sims 3, think again. It’s actually almost a preview of The Sims 4. Social tools and semi-online game coming to the Sims universe, and they do to stay … Prepare to succeed!

Sing, jump, do magic, wins … With friends and The Sims 3 Jump to Fame! Sims games are the most social disparities. They have millions of fan sites, forums with thousands of users and the Exchange is downloaded tens of millions of creations every day, not to mention the runaway success of his younger brother, The Sims Social. But, strangely, is one of the few franchises that does not yet include an online mode or form of communication between players in the game … until now.

Third Party CC Being Transferred Via Simport

There have been many reports about users finding custom content in their games after a Simport session. The reason being that some CC is “sticking” to the Sims 3 Pack. Read the preliminary report from Crinrict.

SimGuruSnelson has reported that a game update will be released “soon”, to completely stop the transfer of user generated content. I’m sure they took precautions to make sure their precious Sims 3 Store doesn’t transfer, why wasn’t the CC issue prevented prior to Showtime’s release?

I have personally tested Simport with a test PC I have, and I have not had any issues with CC transferring or sticking to my Sims or game. I have also not been able to duplicate it, so I am not sure how this transfer is happening  (apparently, Sims 3 Pack CC is transfering, while package CC is not). Either way, it is happening to some players.

Via SimGuruSnelson – Hi Simmers. I wanted to let you know that we are releasing a Game Update very soon that will provide a solution to prevent any custom, user-created content from being installed in the host’s game when using SimPort. Additionally, this Game Update will ensure any files associated with a visiting Sim are not saved to a player’s system permanently.

Thank you for bringing your concerns to our attention. We are reading all of your posts and will continue to provide solutions as quickly as possible.

Game Zone – Sims 3 Showtime Review

The Sims franchise has always been one that provides players with an open-ended, sandbox gameplay that allows the user to create their own journey.  Sure, over the course of the series, the game has transformed, adding slightly more direction for players.  For the most part, however, The Sims gives you the feedom to do what you want.

As a kid we are taught to believe in dreams and establish a goal in our life.  Of course, as we age, we begin to realize that these goals may no longer be possible and are replaced with more practical goals, but we never lose the ability to dream.  This is perhaps where The Sims 3 becomes so popular – allowing adults to live their dreams through the life of a Sim.

Gamersnet – Sims 3 Showtime Review

Showtime Launch 2

The Sims 3 remains a game that is incredibly popular and it is therefore not surprising that we are rarely a new extension to get this game. The latest expansion is all about life as an artist and for Sims with ambition, this is like the perfect extension.

The artist’s life is something we already in Sims games have come across, but it was never as extensive as in The Sims 3: Showtime. The Sims 1: Superstar could get to work as a supermodel, actor and singer, but this time the new professions focused on giving presentations. This allows your Sim in The Sims: Showtime choose from three new professions: acrobat, magician and singer. And you can also play DJ and therein improve your skills, but this is not a separate profession.
