Here to kick off our June Community Spotlight is talented Sims 4 builder, RoxxySims! In a brief introduction below, Roxxy gives readers a chance to learn a bit more about her work in the community. Take it away Roxxy!
Hi guys! I’m Roxxy Sims, a Sims 4 enthusiast, interior designer wannabe, and owner of a Sims YouTube channel. I’m from a (very) small town in the middle of the United States. I am a Sims builder through and through, and have been since The Sims 1. I am into anything artistic or creative! I’ve dabbled in many forms of art, from painting, to pottery, to cake decorating. But the one thing that really stuck was Interior Design.
It is my passion, and that is where The Sims comes in! Interior design is not really a job you can have out in the middle of nowhere (seriously you guys, you wouldn’t believe how small my town is lol) so I design in The Sims instead! This game is my creative outlet, it really is the way that I get to be creative in my daily life. I’ve been known to build anything from a Shabby Chic Cottage to a Zombie Apocalypse Camp, and everything in between!
Even though I had been building and uploading to the Gallery for many years, I only more recently started my very own Sims YouTube channel. I watched speed build videos for a long time, and always thought about making my own. It was quite scary though. But I finally pushed away all the worry and doubt, got the equipment I needed, and in April of 2018… I gave it a go. I became fully immersed in The Sims community and have been uploading Sims Speed Build videos ever since. Speed builds are definitely what you can expect from my channel, but I do throw in a CAS or Let’s Play every once in a while. Starting this Sims channel has been incredible. I’ve enjoyed it thoroughly, and it’s what I want to do when I grow up (ha).
And don’t even get me started on the community! They are simply amazing, and I am impressed by their kindness every day. This really is the best decision I could have made! I just want to thank anyone who has watched my speed builds. You are my motivation, and I appreciate you more than you know! I also want to thank Alexis for this INCREDIBLE opportunity to share myself with you. It means so much. I am eternally grateful to you Alexis!
