When it comes to The Sims 3 Store, finding out what’s in store for us is crucial in more ways than you may think. For starters, it informs us of whether or not we’ll still be receiving new content for the game (yeay!), and also gives us an idea of when The Sims 3 store will be no more.
Back in May 2013 when The Sims 4 was announced, EA and Maxis assured us that there will be continued production (for some unspecified time) of content for The Sims 3 Store.
Q: Are you still developing content for The Sims 3?
A:Â Yes. We have a brand new world, Dragon Valley, coming out at the end of May. We have The Sims 3 Island Paradise shipping on June 25 and we have a Future-themed expansion arriving in Fall 2013. Beyond that, we continue to create content for The Sims 3 Store.
In a forum post on officials, SimGuruCopeland states that the upcoming March set will “work well” with at least two more upcoming sets.
Everything eventually comes to an end, and that includes marketing for The Sims 3. At some point in the future, The Sims 3’s marketing budget will cease, and The Sims 4 marketing budget will begin. What exactly does this statement from Copeland tell us? Not much. But we’re at least getting two more sets in The Sims 3 Store.
