Baking is only half the fun of this object, and here’s the other half: selling your baked goods. Using the Baker’s Bazaar Collection, Sims can place a register, display cases, display rugs, or display racks, and set the baked goods for sale.

Baker’s Bazaar Collection

The Baker’s Bazaar Collection consists of brand new objects that allow your Sims to run a business. The main object is the register, and you can find it in buy mode under “Misc. Entertainment” for 100 Simoleons. The Register can only be used by Sims Teen-Elder.

Aside from the register enabling any lot to run as a functioning business, this premium content also includes display cases, racks, and rugs, used to showcase items when creating a business in any world. Any and all recipes placed on these showcase items are automatically enabled for sale.

❗ Some dishes will not fit on the racks and display cases, so just add a counter over a rug with the food placed atop.

The following showcase items are included in the Baker’s Bazaar Collection:

Cash Register: The cash register allows your active household (teen and older) to “Tend” to the business, check sales performance, set lot hours, hire and fire Salesclerks (NPC’s), and browse the selection of items for sale in on any business lot.

Sales Rugs (2 Types): Recipes placed on this object will be automatically enabled for purchase. You can set the Markup, Sale Price, and purchase items directly from this object.

Display Cases: Recipes placed inside this object will be automatically enabled for purchase. An added bonus, you can display the food dishes creatively in the display case, and it will keep your food refrigerated so it does not spoil. You can set the Markup, Sale Price, and purchase items directly from this object.

Sales Rack: Recipes placed on this object will be automatically enabled for purchase. An added bonus, you can display the food dishes creatively on the rack, and it will keep your food refrigerated so it does not spoil. You can set the Markup, Sale Price, and purchase items directly from this object.

To create an run your own business on a commercial lot, place any of the Baker’s Bazaar Collection items on the lot, display any recipes your heart desires for purchase, be sure to include a register to enable the lot as a functioning business, and label the lot as a “Hangout”.

❗ When creating a business on your home lot, you must “invite” other Sims over to shop. Residential lots will not automatically attract buyers.

❗ You will need to own the lot your bakery is built on in order to profit from the business.

❗ Recipes in your shop WILL NOT be automatically restocked when purchased. Sims will have to prepare and restock any and all food dishes, or the business will run out of products.

This also means that NPC’s will not run bakeries. To create an NPC based bakery, you would need to install the Industrial Oven. Doing so adds all the new bakery recipes to the menu – which can be customized – for NPC’s to cook and serve.

❗ Use a DEBUG cheat to automatically spawn certain recipes. See here for details.

Unlike the Savvy Seller’s Collection, which originally enabled the ability to sell certain objects in the game, the Baker’s Bazaar Collection allows Sims to prepare and sell ANY recipe available in game.

Sims can create dishes at home, or anywhere they have an oven, and bring them directly to the bakery to sell. Once they are placed into one of the display cases, racks, or rugs, the food items will remain in stasis until purchased.

❗ If you own items such as the Industrial Oven, Chun Co. Teppanyaki Grill, or Barrier to Entry System, add them to your store to enable even more possibilities.

The industrial oven will add all the new recipes to the menu for Sims to order from, the teppanyaki grill adds some bold new flavors for sale, and the barrier to entry system would ultimately allow you to create an “All Plasma” restaurant for Vampires. The possibilities are endless!
