As stated in the July Community Blog, The Sims 3 Store has come to an end. If you have any Simpoints left in your account, you will need to use them up as The Sims 4 will not support Simpoints.
In the meantime, The Sims 3 Store will remain open for everyone to access their content, but what we don’t know is how long they will keep the store running. As a reminder, be sure to download, save, and backup all of your Sims 3 Store content regularly, this way you are all set to go when the store is eventually closed.
Now on to some sad news. SimGuruCopeland, a Sims 3 Store Guru, is saying farewell to simmers. As of Friday, he will no longer be working on The Sims team, and he left us with the following tweet:
My last day as a SimGuru is Friday, so I'm updating this account to reflect that. Thank you all for making it a wonderful couple of years!

I would personally like to thank you for your amazing work on The Sims 3 Store, as much of the content added a touch of flavor to my game. We will all miss you Copeland! Wishing you all the best in your future endeavors.
