SimGurus took to Twitter today to give more info on The Sims 4 Seasons Expansion Pack. We will be adding more throughout the day, so be sure to check back!
Sims will autoage up within 24 hours after the birthday on the calendar. We wanted to give players the full day to plan and celebrate
— Emory (@SimGuruEmory) June 10, 2018
There are icicle decorations for the house.
— George Pigula (@SimGuruGeorge) June 10, 2018
If you move Father Winter into your house you can alter his clothing. Just not while he is on the job.
He does hand out gifts to your Sims.
— George Pigula (@SimGuruGeorge) June 11, 2018
Yep. You can celebrate Holidays while on vacation. So if you wanted to you could recreate Día de los Muertos in Selvadorada if you wanted. pic.twitter.com/0AbbAO50j2

You would have to place in the new furniture we added in this pack. We didn't do a decor update to all the pre-placed homes.
But there will be fantastic creations on the gallery by all the community very shortly. So download some houses from some of your favorite creators.

This house is already in your world. It is this one. pic.twitter.com/kwqoAGcbG8

Created holidays are stored in the save. When you create one it will repeat each year until you delete it.
If you switch saves you will only have the default holidays until you create more.

Seasons is a massive game overhaul, but also, it has always been done as an EP. there is so much content beyond visual changes, which themselves are massive.
— Grant Rodiek (@SimGuruGrant) June 10, 2018
Hot and Cold. Two.

We are never going to make games 1:1 like we did before. Some new, some old, some changes. Always been like that, always will be. https://t.co/TtEH9PeC73

@SimGuruGrant not sure if you’re answering questions but, will we see specific temps anywhere or is it just the basic weather?(ie: rain snow freezing)
— Lunacyloveborne (@Lunacyloveborn1) June 10, 2018
We approximate the temps. https://t.co/rx1TJJZjvK
— Grant Rodiek (@SimGuruGrant) June 10, 2018
Yes. It isn’t fun to make you guys worry about 71 versus 73. And do we use Celsius? Fahrenheit? We focus on the gameplay and their effects. https://t.co/nRlKdDBnre
— Grant Rodiek (@SimGuruGrant) June 10, 2018
They’ll work 😊
— Grant Rodiek (@SimGuruGrant) June 10, 2018
But our audience is global. We don’t want to alienate people.
— Grant Rodiek (@SimGuruGrant) June 10, 2018
I’d rather we spend our time on more fun stuff!
— Grant Rodiek (@SimGuruGrant) June 10, 2018
@SimGuruGrant excuse me can you make a season longer cause 7 days seem to be a disappointment 🙁
— MimiTachikawa (@MimiTachikawa12) June 11, 2018
You can extend. https://t.co/1sJJ60V1Oc

Everything in the trailer is in Seasons.

My answer stands.

Give Gift is based on items in your inventory.
— Grant Rodiek (@SimGuruGrant) June 11, 2018
Father Winter gives a variety of gifts.

Yes. All the Sims in that world will have the holiday.
— George Pigula (@SimGuruGeorge) June 11, 2018
Same day of the week.
— George Pigula (@SimGuruGeorge) June 11, 2018
We don't have traditions that will let you single out the mother or the father. You could still create a gift giving holiday and just play to only giving gifts to a parent.
— George Pigula (@SimGuruGeorge) June 11, 2018
Yes. It only appears if you have a pack that sells fireworks.
— George Pigula (@SimGuruGeorge) June 11, 2018
@SimGuruPJ was enjoying the warm LA sun at #EAPlay2018
I'm just in Granite Falls like … pic.twitter.com/14JdV7mLJ5— George Pigula (@SimGuruGeorge) June 12, 2018
Also fun to stay warm indoors during a snowstorm. #TheSims4Seasons pic.twitter.com/O1uIl5b7NT
— George Pigula (@SimGuruGeorge) June 12, 2018
#TheSims4OutdoorRetreat was the first gamepack and we have learned a lot since releasing it. Selvadorada has stolen the limelight from Granite Falls, but GF is still such a beautiful world. pic.twitter.com/7suBZmo5bO
— George Pigula (@SimGuruGeorge) June 12, 2018
Yep.
I think some people at EA Play may have caught some of it. But we have a long livestream coming up that should cover everything.— George Pigula (@SimGuruGeorge) June 12, 2018
The calendar is your best bet. But, the weather can be unpredictable. And different worlds have different rules. Like Selvadorada being too warm for snow.
— George Pigula (@SimGuruGeorge) June 12, 2018
You do choose to have a day off work and school together.
I'm tired of all these kids getting all these summer breaks without me. *Shakes Grandpa Cane*
— George Pigula (@SimGuruGeorge) June 12, 2018
If you don't have a thermostat it'll be either cool or warm inside, but won't be lethal. Still might not be comfy though, so your sim might appreciate some heating / cooling tech 🙂
— Emory (@SimGuruEmory) June 12, 2018
The calendar doesn't show upcoming festivals, as those are surprises when you live in San Myshuno!
— Emory (@SimGuruEmory) June 12, 2018
There's a handy dandy weather controller that you can buy from build mode. Upgrade it and you'll be able to control the seasons as well!
